What would cause the Lenovo Yoga to need more than the 16GB of ram? If my daughter has Word, Excell, Outlook, and 20 open tabs, will the soldered 16GB be enough?

Thanks. Best Buy has this at $600! Even lower Open Box options.

I like it for her because it also has the 780M, but it is not easy finding a deal on anything with 32GB of ram. This looks like such a good deal, and the size and weight are what she wants.

16gb would be enough for most situations and uses. but if she is at college or university. then she use if for "design" and "photoshop" in which case "24-32gb" is the sweet spot..

i just did a look at some videos for your model and its varients and none are ram upgradable.. all soldered. but they do have 16gb and 32gb variants.

I had her go and get one. The 16gb for $600. There is a BestBuy much closer to her. 32gb would have been awesome, but that is likely not showing up for $600 any time soon, I bet.

That was a $300 off sale, close to Black Friday type deal. I was waiting for the Costco February Booklet, and that model only dropped $100 there. The extra ram didn't seem worth that $300 savings to me, and I didn't really see it as an option at Costco or BestBuy. I bet it would be $1,200 at the Lenovo website.

Oh well. I don't want too much buyers remorse. I think it was a good deal on a good computer. Thanks everyone.
