I have a motherboard
ASUS M4A785TD-M EVO. I'm on WIN 10

My PC's behavior has been a little strange recently. Especially where Google has been involved.
Google Drive seems to think I'm offline all the time.
I get a constant alert, 'securing connection' message.
GMail doesn't load all the icons.
Weird things like that.
Word/Excel/Photoshop/After Effects still work fine.
I feel like the problems are Google centric but I'm not certain.

Now, the MB is @ 11/12 years old.
Does anyone feel that there's a recommended interval for replacing the MB?

There is no recommended interval...replace it when it no longer serves it's purpose. In your case a complete new system is the better choice...that's going to be motherboard, memory and CPU at least. It's really not worth throwing money at a 12 year old computer.

But it's more likely a clean install of Windows will help get the system running better (or as good as 12 yo tech can) so try this first:
