when to trust ebay?

how many sales should a ebay account have before you can 100% trust it. i will only be using ebay as i live in ireland and i cant drive anywhere to pick it up as im 16

you don't know. you just have to go with it, or buy new. but I mean look at the reviews, ratings buy buyers, and how many. also look for believable prices, and I mean if you get a wrong item, theres always the ebay policy. they will refund if you don't get what you ordered. its that chance you have to risk taking. even if the reviews are good, the seller might take a dip and do something. still protected by eBays poilcy

In general, ebay will side with the buyer if there is a dispute.
If you pay with paypal, they can reverse a bad deal and refund your payment.
It still pays to look at a seller's reputation and to know your prices along with delivery costs.
To protect yourself, always communicate with the seller via ebay messaging.
