When will the 2500k-2600k be Outdated?

That's irrelevant. The important issue is when a new console generation is released, since most games are made for consoles first, PC second.

True true, the only games they spent more time on making for the pc is metro 2033 and crysis that is why they were/are so hard to run on most computers.

But why would most companie waste there time on computer games most people cannot afford a computer that it takes to play some of these games on decent settings we have screwed ourselves on that one. console are cheaper and you know they will play the games=peace of mind.

Black ops is one of the worst looking console/pc games i have seen in a few years old arse modren warfare 2 looks 100% better then block ops. I love the game but its crap graphics make me sick. Firing the infintyward ceos was a mistake.

He had a Celeron. A Netburst Celeron. With an Intel IGP.

i play 2-d diablo 2 once in a great whle but anymore i want good graphics i have a 73 inch tv so bad games like block ops look like arse, 73inch 120hz 3d tv lol so its not my fault.

Also with consoles when you are done with the games you can sell them so easy at gamestop etc at least you get some of your money back pc games dont work so well, since cdkeys have made it more or less impossible to be able to sell them to others.

Who buys game CD's anymore anyway? I can't remember the last time I went to my store and came back with a game, downloading is far easier with all the cd-key bullcrap right now.

Lol sadly most of the people in the world arent resonable, and yeah with steam only you have that games you cant sell your steam account well you can but if they find out they ban it. alienware has record profits so far this year, people anymore want a warrenty they dont care if they have to spend more.

800 for a good not really. that wont even play todays games at max. 800$ for a midgrade computer, I dont even consider the specs in my sig to be a "gaming computer".

A 800$ computer is not going to look any better then a xbox 360 then, I find that pointless. I really dont consider what you are talking about as a gaming computer i think mine in my sig is a enrty lvl gaming computer.

$800 buys a lot of CPU and GPU power. I consider a computer with a HD 4850 GPU in a gaming computer, because realistically that's the min requirements.

800$ will buy "a" gtx 580 and "a" 2600k" where is the room left for anything eles lol. I consider a 4850 trash, i have used and have so many gpus. anything below a 4870x2 in newer games just seems to suck.
