General message for everybody, legally there is no such thing as abandonware.Here's a couple places where you can find old "abandonware" games for free. Many are for PC but there's also many old console games too (you need to learn to install and use an emulator though to play them on PC).

I found many awesome games from my youth that I thought I would never see again. These games may be old but they are still lots of fun.

All of these titles are registered somewhere as belonging to somebody, and even if that entity doesn't exist anymore it doesn't mean that the software is "free" now.
Just saying.
Actual free old games that are made free by the actual rights holders do exist but you have to hunt for them.
For example the original elite from 1984 is free now, right from the owner' store.
