Funny thing is, newegg is supposedly doing its lottery thing, but didnt' today for this launch. Oh well.
Yeah, I think they stopped it again. I haven't gotten notices and it's currently deactivated. So far they hadn't had on offer any exact model I'm trying for, but I'm hoping they keep it going.

I was able to get a 9070 XT in store at Microcenter for $599. It was an extremely long line that took two hours to go through, but they had lots of them in stock.

They were limited to one per customer and they were not selling them online. I really appreciate that, because it meant I could actually get one.

I figured they would sell out instantly to scalper bots on NewEgg so I didn't even bother with it.

They didnt just go out of stock there was a few models that went quick at aussie retailers i can still find a few models around for sale

Some models stayed around for a hour or so after releases on the sites ..

I was after the sapphire nitro + 9070xt i can still get one some where !!

Something compelled me to leave it i JUST cannot see the value / performance uplift over the 7900xtx ( got close had it in the cart and pay pal ready )

I think im going to wait and see if there is any better models and what the Intel b770 offers

I havent seen restock yet but when these cards were selling at $400-$500 aud cheaper than the 5070ti it was a no brainer they would sell out ..

$1100-$1450aud vs $1500 to $2000aud for the 5070ti !!

I was going to buy the 5090 or a 5080 with more Vram i may still do that later on if everything calms down !

still plenty of NON xt 9070s around AMD upsold there ( cough cough ) flagship by dodgy means again its pure marketing drop the lower model for $50 less everyone sees bad value in it and buys the better one ..

1000% the 9070 will drop to 450usd in a month when stock isnt moving !!

It is, Microcenter has tons worth of cards on hand. There was plenty of supply, notice it's only OOS from online vendors? You know those that are susceptible to scalping bots who are hording the cards and going to be reselling them on ebay or amazon at crazy markups.

Just wait, scalpers / resellers just sucked up all that inventory and now have to move it. There is going to be a wave of cards showing up on ebay / amazon at $300+ markup. As AMD releases more, and what little nVidia bothers to make, the scalpers won't be able to suck up more inventory and the prices will start to go down. Basically it's a speculation bubble that is being fueled by low stock vs demand. As stock keeps pouring in that curve will stop being so lopsided which brings converts the bubble into a bust.
👍 They are on ebay for $1150-1500 already
