[SOLVED] Where to put m.2 with two options

I got a Asus STRIX Z270F GAMING motherboard, I got a 250gb samsung m.2 in the first slot, I will get a 1tb m.2 tomorrow, is there any different in speed between the two slots?

Nope, both are linked at the same bandwidth and PCIE Gen 3. Same thing in other words

Typically speaking the one nearest the CPU will be rated faster (like "Ultra", etc.) or will be marginally faster due to latency further down the mobo. Keep your OS drive closest.

the new one is a SAMSUNG EVO 970 EVO 1TB, the old 250gb is a samsung 960 evo m.2

OK, 2x NVMe drives.
On that motherboard, it does not matter.
Both ports operate at the same speed.

Yeah I checked that the new once is slighly faster than the 960, but not much, just tought if there is a difference in speed between which slot I use on the motherboard
