I am interested in purchasing a 4k 27" monitor to replace an old 20" (Samsung 206BW) whose back light just suddenly died. Possibly an IPS screen, and freesync would be a plus. Speakers are not really relevant. A short response time would be good as I am an occasional gamer. I do not work with professional video editing nor watch movies in the PC (old fashion: I use a TV for that).

So far, I learned that any of these would be a good fit, but cannot make a facts-based decision. I listed them in no particular order but praise the Viewsonic quality (I have and love a VP171b, 17" 4:3 TFT). Cost is important but not main drive as I expect this monitor to last a decade or so...

Viewsonic XG-2700-4k
HP Envy 27s
Dell P2715Q
ASUS MX27UQ
LG 27UD69P-W

Any suggestions or opinions?

Games are likely to be World of Tanks and War Thunder, which run "well enough" in my current R9 270 2GB but I reckon a new card will be in order soon (suggestions are welcome!).

I want the "space" and a good quality picture - and not be upset in the future for not having a good screen because I saved £50... I hope this makes sense?

I am not willing to pay £500 in a graphics card but understand that I will have to replace mine in order to take advantage of the screen...
