okay, so i am planning to buy 750ti for my SFF hp 8000 elite for my small project.
but i am in doubt which one should i get depending on the gpu it gives slightly more performance than the referrence 750ti but requires more power as it needs 6-pin power connecter.

-q8400 quad core cpu
-240w psu (i know it is low but i have read many forums and discussions how it is more than needed)
-3gb ram (planning to upgrade to 8gb ram) if possible 16gb ram max but idk if it's possible because of the psu.
-lastly, should i upgrade the stock cooler?

though help me out fam.
maybe?

I meant that one that comes with a power connector will work, while one that realies on the slot for it's power will not.
well...as u can urself see, the core clocks are different and ascending as u go forward on ur links(top to bottom)...the performance difference is not too much though...
still 240w is not recommended irrespective of forums or discussions...better u get it to atleast 400w or 450w...

You would have to have a VERY good 240w PSU to run that, whitch i highly doubt you do in such an old system. I wouldn't try it.
As for the cards, only this one will fit your system(DO check) and you will have to dismount it's bracket.

thankyou for the infos! as for the temps on idle/browisng all the 4 cpus were at 40.0 degree celcius while on stress it goes up to 80.0 degree celcius.

thanks for the information! needed it but nonetheless there's a majority of people actually run this on their 240w even below from what i recall reviewing other people's review on newegg and also other forums etc.
but even so, what would you recommend a good 300w - 550w psu?

also what do you mean by dismounting the bracket?

Put hings into context: that's an 8 youar old PSU that has been in use!!

Careful with teh graphics card. That SFF case will not fit "normal" full-height PCIE cards.

EDIT: it would seem that there is no way to upgrade that PSU :|

man im confused af...

At this point, i just wouldn't bother.

It's an SFF unit that can only fit half-height PCIE cards and that has a custom format, non-atx compliant PSU and MB(through whitch all periferals are fed power). Some "technicalities" are bound to be borught up :)

Then no need for an aftermarket cooler.

Just a quick word of warning(i remembered something): that MB, being non-ATX compliant, may not provide the full spec 75W to the PCIE slot and just 25W or something, in whitch case, no 750Ti that comes without a power connector will work. Dig through the documentation before you purchase anything.

you mean "750ti that comes without power connector will not work" (rephrasing that) ?
