which cable for 144 fps 1440p gaming

hi, I bought acer XG270HU which is 144hz 1440p.

the monitor came with 3 cables: dvi d, displayport 1.2 and hdmi 2.0

I read somewhere that only hdmi 2.0 and displayport 1.3+ can get you 144hz at 1440p is that correct ? and what about the dvi d ? please explain

No, Display port 1.2 will do 1440p 144hz no problem. I can do 1440p 165hz no problem with DP 1.2. HDMI 2.0 should be capable of 1440p 144hz as well. I would personally just use DP 1.2.
