Which case?

I have resently been introduced to Tomshardware by a friend. My attention was first drawn to your Dream Machine article from January 2001. I have ordered some of the components already, but I'd like to know what brand of ATX Mid Tower with 300W PS was used. It looked like such a great fit that I'd like to capitalize on your experience. Thank you very much for any help you may offer.

I would suggest the Antec SX830 or SX840. Only difference between them is that SX840 comes with a 400W PSU when the SX830 comes with 300W. The case is pretty much designed for overclockers and it got amazing ventilation. It comes with 2 case fans and 2 more optional spots where you can add fans. They also designed the hardware cage so that you could add an 80mm fan to cool the harddrives.

All I can say is, it's a beauty =)

Thank you so much for the quick response to my question. I will check those cases out and order one right away. Have a great day. Mark

A Lian Li case is great, if you can afford it. The mid-tower versions are around $155-170, and don't include power supply. The PC-60 or PC-61 versions are all aluminium, have 2 cooling fans in the front, 1 in the back, and have 4 5.25" drives openings, 3 3.5" external drive openings, and room for 3 3.5" internal drives! Finally, they are extremely lightweight, and have 10 expansion slots in the back. This is great for the extreme overclocker; check SharkyExtreme for more info.
