I just bought a PC on black friday, which I can return if I want to. I'm coming from a PS3 and I'm wondering, which do you think I'll like better, the uniformity of PS4 hardware and familiar controller, or the sheer FPS increase of a PC with a GTX 960, and an xbox controller, which I'm NOT used to AT ALL, and which could lead to a disadvantage in online shooters.

Thanks

PC hands down; it will offer much more in the way of options for later upgrades, you should be able to use a PS3/4 controller with windows http://www.pcadvisor.co.uk/how-to/game/how-use-ps4-dualshock-4-controller-on-pc-3621877/, also computer will let you mod games and using a m/kb will be more precise than any controller, especially if you get a precision gaming mouse. The GTX 960 will give you better graphics than the PS4.

Even a 750Ti is better than PS4 graphics.

It's going to be a cheap dell m/kb

What hardware does your pc have? You can get a dualshock 4 controller for like $49 on amazon. Probably cheaper at Gamestop, or just get a PS3 controller http://www.digitaltrends.com/gaming/how-to-connect-a-ps3-controller-to-a-pc/
I'd still take the precision of a cheap m/kb over a controller for FPS games any day.

It's going to have 12gb of ram, a gtx 960, a 300 watt PSU(pushing it, i know), piss-poor ventilation, an i5-4460, a cheap mobo, and a cheap case, and windows 10.It'll cost me 600$ overall.

I just build my own, way cheaper to do it that way and get parts; 300W PSU is not a good idea upgrade wise.
