Which GPU is best for this build?

Hi I cant figure out which GPU to use. So far I picked out a Evga gtx 960 ssc 4gb but im still doing research on which gtx 960 to get or if I should get a r9 280x. This is my first time building a pc so I dont know much about it. Here is my part list: https://pcpartpicker.com/parts/partlist/

If you are going to get 4GB version of the 960 it will not worth the price. So for around 200$ better option would be r9 380 since it will outperform the 960 in almost all aspects.
Between the 380 models I would personal pick the Sapphire nitro model > gigabyte g1 > msi.

Can you re-link your build?
I'm running a GTX 960 4gb SSC right now, and is more than happy with it. Compare price to performance, and power usage... These should be your deciding factors.

The new AMD cards are nice, but make sure your PSU can handle them.

Make sure you do, plus, make sure that the card is gonna fit. I got an alert when I placed in the build. I'd look to go with a G.Skill RAM if you can.

Just a heads up, I'll be putting mine on sale on Amazon. Hahaha. Pretty new.

Anyway, great budget build. I'm just not too fond of the idle wattage on this.

That's a really good build, good job.
Though this is just one thing I'll mention that others also did: the 280x is a complete power-pig. If that matters to you.

It is a awesome build. The only thing I would change is getting 2x4 kit RAM for Dual Channel but 1x8 will work fine too.
P.S - The 280x is really old card and you can't be 100% sure it will be up to date with new games upcoming and it doesnt support DX12 either.

Uh... The R9 280x definitely supports DX12, since it's GCN 1.0. All GCN cards do, which means anything from HD7xxx and later supports DX12. Unlike nVidia, where even Maxwell 2 has gimped DX12 support. The R9 380 is still the better choice though, since it's GCN 1.2. Mainly tessellation has improved, and some additional features are supported.
