Hey guys. Sorry for basic question !

I have a geforce gtx 980 ti (Gddr5, memory:6g) I want to add another graphic card with Sli method beside of my graphic card. But I don't know which graphic cards are compatible with my graphic card.

In fact I wanna to improve performance of graphic memory inside of Adobe after effects and another gpu rendering softwares. For example can I sli a GTX1660TI-A6G graphic card with a gtx 980 ti?

Solution
No, to SLI you have to use the same card, so a 980ti. It doesn thave to be the exact same model but it needs to be a 980ti

Saying that however VRAM will not double, you will still be limited to 6GB of it.

SLI basically sucks nowadays outside select applications that can use it will. It would most likely be better to buy a faster more powerful card that has more VRAM.

Thank you. Oh too bad!
So what features added to performance with sli two cards?

It's only useful if you're using the second GPU for workstation related things.

For gaming, the main feature added when using a second GPU is the ability to quite efficiently waste money. For the purpose of gaming, there's no good reason to SLI/Crossfire in 2020.
