The GTX 560 is at the same tier level as the 6870 so there is no advantage there and that means it would come down to drivers , which one produces the better and more frequent driver updates. In that situation I would lean towards Nvidia and when it comes to BF3 the Nvidia drivers do perform better than AMD's. You should also look at what other games you play or plan to play to see which company puts out the better drivers. Nvidia does seem to do well with the new games when they are first released , thier drivers are usually ready to go and AMD seems to lag behind a little but they do catch up.
If you already had the Gigabyte 560 , why did you pick up a 6870 and not another 560 to go with SLI. :pfff:

I play battlefield 2 now, and starcraft 2, and league of legends. thats it. will want to play BF3 and diablo 3 when it comes out. so the 560 OC edition isnt going to be better than the xfx 6870 by much or since its overclocked i thought it would be faster by a noticable amount no?

Don't listen to Xtreme5, it's obvious he has no idea what he is talking about, XFX are a top tier brand and push out extreme high quality products, PSU's and GPU's especially.

I believe you should get the GTX 560 OC because, if I'm not mistaken, it does perform better than the HD 6870 in BF3, and if your PSU can handle it, and it has a good cooler, you can OC that thing to GTX 560 Ti speeds.

EDIT : You already have the HD 6870? You won't really see a noticeable performance boost IMO.
