Okay so I am making this high end build and I was for sure that the Msi Twin Frozer 970 was the best. But there is this Gigabyte one that is 30$ cheaper. Which one should I get?

When I'm researching a product to purchase, I take with a grain of salt bad reviews. I know that people are far more likely to report bad experiences than good ones. Maybe EVGA does have a problem, I've just not read about it, and done a lot of research on this product https://pcpartpicker.com/part/evga-video-card-04gp42983kr. It is a different card, sure. It's far easier for me to spend your money, than mine, but the next video card I purchase, if it's in this gpu generation, will be an EVGA.
They have pretty close clock speeds. I honestly can't comment on those models as I use EVGA 980 cards that are slightly different. The gigabyte is a common choice but it's about 2 inches longer than the MSI card. Make sure it fits your case.

I don't know about the cooling of each card. You can google reviews and comparisons to find out as I don't have the answer.

I haven't heard it once in the two weeks I've had my 980's in my build. Coil whine was more of a problem on the first version cards. I have the SC 2.0 versions, where they fixed the heating issues.
