Question Which hard drive is better?

If two games is what you want only on one drive, makes sense to go with TeamGroup SSD 512GB. Hard Drives should only be considered if you're going for more storage and while WD Black is good, its slower than SSDs.

Hello, I'm not sure on what you decided, but Spinning drives weather they are 2.5 or 3.5, speed will depend on cache and rpm speed, also you need to look at the work load it's rated for per year. such as, the western digital's enterprise hhd's etc. Theses factors will effects hhd's performance and lifespan. Now SSD's on the other hand will be faster, because there are no moving parts like spinning drives, However, SSD's are volatile, so once they start having corrupted sectors they are non recoverable, and the reads and writes are limited as well. furthermore, if you exceed the read and write limet per day then you can brick your drive on a SSD. However, this can be said for HHD's as well. I'm not sure if this answered your question or gave you more questions than answers, but theses are the basic differences between the two. and there really is no such thing as what drive is better, it's going to come down to what will it be used for and will that application or future application's run well on that said device. This is why most game developers are recommending M.2's because the game are becoming more demanding.
