Which i5 Processor Should I Get For Gaming?

I am working on putting a list of parts together for my first gaming PC, what I want to get is an Intel Core i5 socket LGA1150 CPU, but I don't know which one I need. I will mainly use the PC for gaming, I do not plan on over clocking once I build the PC or any time in the future. I was originally thinking of getting the Intel Core i5-4690k, but if I do not plan to over clock it, should I get the 4690 or the "k" version, or a different one like the 4590, 4460 and so on. I am kinda on a budget, so I woud like to know if spending an extra $40 for the 4690 is worth it over the 4460 for gaming, or will it not make a huge difference in performance? Thanks for the help.

If you don't wish to overclock a good option may be the 4590. Somewhere in between the 4460 and 4690 (non k). The locked 4690 tends to be a bit expensive for a locked core. The 4590 has a slightly higher base speed and 300mhz higher turbo speed than the 4460 and usually only runs around $10-12 more. That would save you around $20-30 instead of the 4690 or 4690k. Performance in games should be very similar. If you live near a microcenter retail store you can get the 4590 for even less, around $160.

The difference isn't that massive, but overall the 4690 does have a better single core and multicore performance.
As for the K version, on the 4690 there is no difference apart from the unlocked multiplier. On some, like the I7 4790, there is a 0.4 Ghz difference between the K and non K version. But on Pc part Picker there is a $1 difference, so even if you don't plan on it now, overclocking could be possible in the future.
For me, I would probably spend the extra $40 go for the 4690 (k) , just for that little bit of an edge.

ok thank you guys for helping me out, I am thinking of getting either the 4460 o the 4590, but the 4590 is about $10 more than the 4460, what do you guys think?

I didn't notice too much of a difference, but I think I will go with the i5-4590 anyway since on game debate it showed the 4590 performed better on all games than the 4460 and same thing on cpuboss.com.
