benefits from a x370 over a b350 is multi gpu , more harddrives,more usb ports.

if they are the same price +-100 dollars i would get a x370 board

The point of having a 1700x is to overclock and get the best bang for buck, so X370.

If as you say, your not overclocking, get the normal 1700 and B350, save a few ££ and put that towards the fastest memory or GPU you can get.
