which is better 1gb DDR5 or 2gb DDR3 for 1600*900 resolution

I am having a samsung LCD monitor of resolution 1600*900. i am planning to buy nvidia gt 730. so should i buy the 1gb gddr5 or 2gb ddr3 version

neither of them , they are too weak for gaming regardless of the memory used .

GDDR5. If you have the cash, I would get the GTX 750Ti.

if you have some money GDDR5 is better for you because ddr3 cannot handle newer games on high setting,you need to go for GDDR5 graphic card.

yes in theory gddr5 version is better but gt 730 is pathetic in terms of gaming performance ,
regardless of the memory used .
the least powerfull graphics card you should aim for is amd 250x .
anything less powerfull has terrible price to performance ratio and is not worth your money

gtx 750Ti or amd 265 will be even better .
but it also depends on the rest of your system .
