Depends on intended usage.Hello, what is better the Intel i5 9400f or the Amd 2600?
Depends on intended usage.
id say Intel if you plan to use it for gaming
Ok, Intel is better with single thread applications and AMD for multi threaded. Can't have both at same time.I wanna use it for multiple things, gaming, montage, recording and streaming (Maybe).
Soooo which one is better for my needs?Ok, Intel is better with single thread applications and AMD for multi threaded. Can't have both at same time.
Okay, I'll go with AMDthe single thread performance can be overcome mostly with the right memory and an overclock, the intel will always be thread limited.
I would suggest the AMD. price and performance being what they are the motherboard and socket longevity make AMD the the choice for me. get the right motherboard and you will be able to upgrade to the 3xxx series later, the 9400 is on a dead socket limiting the upgrades from within the 9xxx series only.
Thank you everyone who helped me! I really appreciate it! again, thank!there are many. depending on the price.
gigabyte I know has verified that many of their boards will support the new series. you can check the CPU support list for verification.

Every am4 motherboard will support the ryzen 3000 series, but older boards may require a bios update beforehand.Okay, I'll go with AMD
But if its possible can you give me an mb that I can use on it 3xxx series later...
Okay, thank you too!Every am4 motherboard will support the ryzen 3000 series, but older boards may require a bios update beforehand.
That isn't accurate.Every am4 motherboard will support the ryzen 3000 series, but older boards may require a bios update beforehand.
You are correct A320 doesn't have the power phases for the new 3xxx series. That isn't accurate.
B350/B450 and X370/X470 motherboards are all supposed to get BIOS updates to enable support for the 3000 series CPU's but how well they will support them is still completely unknown.
And as far as I know the A320 MBs will NOT support the 3000 series CPUs.
