[SOLVED] Which is better?

Solution
the single thread performance can be overcome mostly with the right memory and an overclock, the intel will always be thread limited.
I would suggest the AMD. price and performance being what they are the motherboard pricing/features and socket longevity make AMD the the choice for me. get the right motherboard and you will be able to upgrade to the 3xxx series later, the 9400 is on a dead socket limiting the upgrades from within the 9xxx series only.
at what?
they stand pretty much toe to toe and the where one excels one may falter. depends on your needs but this is a good tool to get the general idea. do not takes results as concrete.

multithreading goes to AMD, single core to Intel, what do you need it for?
the AMD can overclock, the AMD boards are usually cheaper to boot which complicates the decision and the answer to your question.

Okay, I'll go with AMD :)
But if its possible can you give me an mb that I can use on it 3xxx series later...

Every am4 motherboard will support the ryzen 3000 series, but older boards may require a bios update beforehand.
That isn't accurate.
B350/B450 and X370/X470 motherboards are all supposed to get BIOS updates to enable support for the 3000 series CPU's but how well they will support them is still completely unknown.
And as far as I know the A320 MBs will NOT support the 3000 series CPUs.
