Hello i am willing to buy a new laptop to use in photoshp and some video editing but i am at tight budget so i am considering two laptops:
1.lenovo z5070 with this specs intel i5 4th gen + nvidia gt 820m 4 giga + 6 giga ram
2.AsusAsus K550LDV withe the following specs: intel I7 4th gen+8 giga ram +nvidia gt820 m 2giga
which one should i go with i thought that gt840m with 4 giga will be too much to handle with i5 processor and i shall go with asus what do you think.

Thanks

Thank you for replying what make me hesitate to decide that shall i sacrifice the higher grahiC memory 4 giga which i dont know for sure if ir will realy make the difference for a higher processor

I would go for the lenovo. The i5 and i7 are both dual cores with hyperthreading. The i7 is a bit faster, however, the difference would probably be unoticable. The gt 840m is substantialy better than the 820m and is 100% worth the settling for the slightly slower i5. In the end, you will be happy you went for something with a more powerful GPU.

Thanks for replying but does realy the gt840m make use from the 4 giga memory dedicated as i read some topics here said that it will not and there is not much deference i am not interested in gaming i am interested in using video editing apps like adobe premiere. Thanks

@lisa i am on a tight budget so those are the only two options avilable for me :( i should choose from them either sacrificing the more video memory for more processor power and ram

They are looking for a laptop, not desktop PC components.
Yes, I know there are a couple of laptops using those components, but they are pretty expensive.

I would say that the i7 is a better option as the i7 is better at multi tasking than the i5. This is very important as adobe products are optimised for more cores like the i7. Also the gpu won't make that much of a difference in photoshop as both gpu's can handle it quite well. Also the more ram will make a big difference when you are using more than one program at the same time.

what about adobe premiere do you think that the more video memory make the difference (in case of lenovo) the faster processor and more ram will make up for it

Normally yes it would but as these are both of the laptops use a very low end gpu, the difference won't be that much better.

Mant thanks for your time and suggestions but all the above laptops are either far beyond my budget or not available in my country :(
