The LG is sub 200$ on amazon used / refurbished btw. But the price of both is fine by me, I just want the better one and different reviews give different conclusions.

Some say the BenQ has poor colors while others praise the BenQs blacks and vibrancy. So say LG is poorly built and all plastic others say the plastic is high quality and so is the entire build of the LG.

Anyone got any experience with both for playing games like CS GO? Which is the better overall value?

Specs look near identical, as does the overall quality based on customer feedback at Amazon.

If in doubt I'd go with BenQ because I've heard a lot more positive feedback about them for monitors over LG overall.

*There does seem to be a few featurs on the BenQ that the LG may not have:

GROM and FPS MODE (read from link)

GROM allows you to choose say 100Hz instead which is useful if you wanted to use VSYNC but can't quite output a high enough FPS or perhaps the dynamic backlight only works at certain refresh rate... I don't know the specifics.
