Ryzen 7 5700X3D or AMD Ryzen 7 5800X?

I know nothing about tech, full on newbie still, I know some stuff here and there I am just afraid of running into issues.

Okayokay and just another question, it's fine to go with air cooler right? I am getting very mixed opinions and it's stressing me out a bit.
Yes, an Air cooler will be fine. They also tend to last longer than AIOs. The one in my sig works great, but there are less expensive ones to choose from. I'm sure Tom's has a review of Air coolers if you search on the main page.

Grab one of those. The price is good and they are a great cooler. I’ve got the older model Thermalright Peerless Assassin on my i5 12600kf and it has no trouble keeping it in check. Can be a little confusing getting the brackets on your first time installing it but once you’re set up it’s good imo.

I’m not going to lie, it is a beast of a cooler. So make sure you have a long Phillips head screwdriver, preferably magnetic for installing. That will make your job easier.

The biggest thing to plan is the height of the cooler. For example the one listed above by @ohio_buckeye is 154mm tall -- https://thermalright.com/product/phantom-spirit-120-se/ Your case has to have that amount (or more) of clearance between the top of the CPU and the side panel. Most aftermarket cases list the maximum height CPU cooler that will fit.
