Which points should I check before buying a computer speaker? I have a cheap speaker, but it produces buzz noise.

Sometimes the buzz is from the computer itself. If you use the old analog plug-in, and not USB, then there are analog components on the motherboard itself and the wiring which can pick up noise. I'll suggest to use a USB speaker.

EDIT: I forgot to mention, some headphones and speakers with USB just pass analog through, especially those which have an "adapter" to use either.

That would be a cheap analog speaker using USB for nothing more than power.

Curious does the speaker still buzz not plugged into the line out on computer.

If so than it's the cheap amp in the speaker and at that point replace or live with.

Okay so yup hum coming from the line out on PC. I have a box of those filters I posted on amazon I use here and there. I just salvage them off of scrap products going into the trash.
