Question I5 9600k upgrade

I have:

CPU:i5 9600k
Motherboard:ASRock Z360 Extrem 4
RAM:16GB
GPU:1080 TI

I want to upgrade because , I have a monitor whit 240hz and I have less then 240 fps in CS2 . My plan is to change the GPU to in the future and I think to move to AMD whit the CPU , maybe whit the GPU to .

? If so, logically the processor you can upgrade without having to change out the motherboard is a i7-9700K or the i9 off of this CPU's support list;

however we will need to know what the make and model of your case and cooler is in order for you to move forward with a CPU upgrade.

What is the make and model of the ram you're working with? DDR4-3200MHz with tigh latencies would net you the most performance out of your platform.

You forgot to mention the make and model of your PSU and it's age.
