which processor is better for ASUS GTX 750Ti OC, i5 4440 or i5 4460??

there is a difference of Rs1500- Rs.2000 between these two processors..is it worth or not?

either one is good. both can easily handle the gtx 750ti. since both are locked cpus, you'd be better off getting as much stock clockrate as you can afford. if you can afford the 4460 (or a 4590), get it.

The 4460 is better and uses the latest chipset. Get the best CPU you can afford, even if it's an i5-4690k.

looks like a bios update is needed. bios version 0904

the i5 4460 needs bios version 0904.

when you reboot, go to bios and check out the current bios version. if it's not 0904, you'll need to update your bios before running the i5 4460 (or any new cpu). read the bios update procedured on asus' website.

For the 750 Ti, buy the cheapest Haswel i3 you can find, lol. Why are you bothering with i5 on that low-end GPU is beyond me.

for starters, the gfx card is easier to swap out and upgrade. or be used as physx should OP chooses. or go to another pc much more easily.
the quad will deliver better multitasking as well as gaming perf over core i3.
the i3 will depreciate much faster than the i5.

you should get i5 4460 as it would be okay for any mid-high end gpu (like r9 280,gtx 760 and gtx 960) and any processor above it wont give any better performance in games but if you are on really low on budget you could get i5 4440 as it wont bottleneck you gtx 750ti , but you need to get better graphic card .

with i5 4460 you could upgrade to more powerful graphic card in future without upgrading your cpu.
