WHICH ROUTER DO I NEED?

I know nothing about routers or laptops really and I just bought a Toshiba laptop with Windows home 7. We have a home computer (PC) with satellite internet. I don't watch movies on the comp or play to many games. Our laptop would usually be run on the first floor and the comp is on the second, like 50 feet away from each other. Which router should I get? Also is it safe to buy one from Ebay? Or a used one? I am so uneducated about these things!

Any router with b/g/n broadcasting capability. I have a motorola and a cisco router that works fine. You can just go to newegg and browse the routers while keeping an eye out for good reviews. Ebay is a hit or miss sometimes depending on how the auction is worded.

Did you post this same question on graphic cards?. I will state what I said there you can get a wireless router for around 40 dollars and that is a new one and don't buy a used one on Ebay.

The G and N bands are the most people buy Linkskey is real common one or cisco is to. Here is a link to one from 45 dollars and up. Good luck.
