Which Ryzen 5 CPU for 1440p 60hz

Im deciding on a 1500x or save up and get the 1600 or 1600x.

I got a used GTX 1070 from my best friend for only $150.
He also gave me for free a rather beat up 1440p monitor but it still works but has some scratches on the screen, but it looks alright to me.

Maximum $$$ for a new CPU is $260

Also got a stock ab350m pro4 mono from another friend for 40 bucks.

You have pretty generous friends dude... Regardless I'd get the 1600 and a decent cooler. The mobo and GPU would have been almost $300 more if you had bought them from somewhere else

Yeah they're really good friends I knew since middle school. And they're the ones who got me into coding back in high school.
Yeah I was thinking on getting a six core r5 and don't it come with a cooler? I heard it was OK. For the 1600 non X.

1600 non-X comes with a cooler and it's actually pretty good. You'll probably be able to get 3.8-3.9GHz on the stock cooler, but personally I just like having a really quiet system so I always get more cooler than I need. It's up to you, not really any wrong choices.
