Welcome to Tom's Hardware Forums!

You need two SATA cables like this one: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16812270093

One for the hard disk, and one for the DVD drive.

If it is a Dell desktop like the Optiplex series, then the end that plugs into the hard drive should be right angled. Take the cable out and get a matching cable from the store. The problem with stating "right angled" and "left angled" is that all stores do not follow a common convention regarding this. On one occasion, I saw the same cable marked as right angled on one page in the catalog, and marked left angled on another page in the same catalog.

The DVD SATA cable has straight ends and 18" length will work.
