Hey all, I hope this is the right forum to ask this in! If someone could please help me understand which audio set up is better, it'd be a huge help! I used to play mainly on console and have a pair of Astro A40s with the mixamp. I have connected the mixamp through an USB to my PC for a while, but was wondering if it would be better to either plug my headset directly into the rear i/o of my motherboard (ASUS ROG STRIX Z490-E), use an S/PDIF cord from the rear i/o to the mixamp, or to continue using the mixamp as is? I honestly don't know enough about audio to know which solution is best! Thanks for any answers in advance!

Solution
No the quality won't change with how you connect them in your case. Those Astros are bad sounding with the mixamp anyway. If you actually want good audio the first step is to use another headphone.
