I made a starter build that I'm giving to my uncle and I'm now looking to build an up to date pc. I have 2 Skylake builds from Pcpartpicker and I'm stuck on which to choose. I've read many mixed reviews on which brand I should go with on each component. I'm fairly new to pc gaming (6 months in fact) so I'm looking to you for your guys' expertise. Which components do I need to change, if any are necessary.

I'm planning on overclocking a bit and price is not an issue.

Also some things are already purchased. Some were from my previous build but the PSU I bought recently. If anybody is wondering why I'm keeping things from my last build if I'm giving it to my uncle it's because he hates windows 8+ so he's getting his own windows 7.

Here they are:

Thank you in advance. I appreciate the help.

hey Indigo. Both of your builds are good enough for overclocking. Just add an SSD and you're done. Now the main difference between both builds as I hope you know are the motherboards. Now personally i would go for the ASUS motherboard because of its expand-ability which is the only and main difference between both boards. and i am talking about SATA ports. You never know when you are gonna need'em. So I vote up the second build! Hope this helped. :)

Thank for the advice but when I said a starter build I mean fx 6300 and 600W Corsair cm brand kind of build. Something I assume people would look down upon.

Thanks. That's what I was going for. I've been researching for a month and needed an opinion from someone who knows their stuff.

Thank you. I'll definitely go with the second build and of course add an SSD. I was going for a color theme with both and think having a white build will be a nice touch.

Alright. Good Luck with the build! :)
