Question Which to upgrade first - CPU or GPU?

Hello

I'm thinking it's about time to do some upgrades to my PC. My gut feeling is that I should look at my CPU

Currently using a MortarB150m motherboard - depending on the opinions here - this may need upgrading too
CPU is I5-6500
GPU is Titan X (Maxwell - NOT pascal)

I don't do any really crazy intensive gaming. Lately mostly WoW. But I'd like to crank the settings to the absolute max, and have some room to explore other newer games.

Thanks in advance folks :)

Titan X Maxwell appears to sit between GTX 1660 and 1660 Super - as far as more modern cards are concerned.

IMO, if you can find a 2nd hand 6700/K, 7700/K that isn't jacked up to the moon - no higher than 80USD please. Those cpus are 4 and 5 years old now, there's no excuse for them being sold at near retail prices still.

If no dice in the used market, then I suppose a new cpu and motherboard is in order:
-Ryzen 3600/X or 3700X and a B550 motherboard
-10400 + B460 mobo
-10600K + Z490 mobo
