While formatting disk data reduncy error

I am having a 320 GB Transcend hard disk, while I am trying to connect its is not display in the area of other drives as well as when I am trying to initialize the disk it gives data redundancy check error, can some one please help me with this

Sounds like the drive is bad, send it back if it's under warranty. If it's not under warranty then you could remove the drive from it, and replace with a new one but still use the same external casing.
