Hello,
I have an hp pavillion gaming laptop. It has an i7-9750h and a gtx 1650 and 8gb RAM. It also comes with an integrated intel graphics card.

The problem I found is that I don't get the fps that I should be receiving. I play csgo mostly and I only get 100 fps even though it may seem high. It is not what I paid for.

I tried switching the graphics settings in Nvidia control panel , but I still get the same fps on both.

I have already done the following :
  • Battery to high performance mode , always plugged in
  • Undervolt and underclocked my cpu.
  • Did not overclock my gpu

My friend has a laptop which has an i5 with Intel graphics card and 4gb ram , while he gets 200 fps on csgo why don't I get it.

Check Nvidia control panel and the game itself, could be a softwere related issue that limits fps.I dont play CSGO,but in dota2 which has the same engine you can limit the FPS from In-Game settings. Also, check if Vsync is on(should be off) in both the game and NCP,if you have a 120Hz screen it will limit your FPS to the monitor refresh rate.

I have put unlimited fps in the launch option itself and also I have turned off vsync everywhere.

I underclocked my cpu to run at 3ghz. To avoid high temperatures. Since I have 6 cores it is not a drastic change.
CSGO FPS depends the the single core performance of the cpu. This could be your problem. If I remember correctly the game can only use 4 cpu cores/threads so the extra cores and threads don’t help.

Have you actually monitored the cpu speed in game to check it stays at 3.0GHz and doesn’t drop further?

When in game are any cpu cores/threads at 100%?

No actually after the new csgo update you can't use MSI afterburner to view statistics. But when I alt tab out to see it , the CPU runs at 2.4-2.7ghz and it's not 100% for any core.
