Question Why Can't I Manually Update Office?

Last month, when I went to "Accounts > Update Options > Update Now" menu in my Office programs it's generating the "Something went wrong. We're sorry, we ran into a problem looking for updates. Error code: 30088-27" error. None of them will update manually, and I only get this error.

I researched this, and have been told this was a Microsoft-side error (and not on my end), probably due to the apps already on the most up-to-date version.

But according to this Microsoft Updates link, a new update was released on August 1st. I tried running the manual update option again today, and I still get the error. Shouldn't this be working now, since a new update has dropped?

Just like with Windows updates, Office updates do not roll out to every machine on the planet simultaneously. Try again in a few weeks. It might even take a few months to filter down to you.

Thanks all above. Will just continue to monitor this over time, as a fix has to be pushed down at some point. I found this article, that shows this isn't a installation problem, but a widespread issue reported by many users on this particular build. Microsoft recommends rolling back to a previous version, which I don't have. So will have to wait it out.
