I have a ms wireless lazer 6000 mouse and it works perfectly on a surface such as a couch but on a table or any smooth surface it doesn't more properly and lags lots. any ideas why this is?

Might want to check if there has been any firmware updates that you need to download.

I have a logitech G5 and at first it also had problems with mousemats such as the glass icemat. But logitech released new firmware for it and now it has no probs.

Just an idea :?

not really, its the stabdard optical/led garb that hates the reflective surfaces.

if you have a true laser mouse, it can wokr on all surfaces. i have tested the following and can say with my logitech that it works on:

-my 20.1" lcd scren
-my face and leg 😀
-reflective laminate workstation im sitting at
-cd-rw reflective surface
-my desklamp
-matte black plastic
-paper/wood
-antistatic cloth
-teh antistatic case kingston packages ram in
-my usb flash drive packaging
- my pc case

(all of thses were in my immediate area 😀)
