Ok cool windows is halfway through installing now. After I download the drivers for my mobo do I need to download anything for my cpu?
No the cpu chipset drivers correspond with your mobo chipset driver so that will be taken care of when you install the mobos :) the only other thing that you will need is your gpu drivers, plus what you use for school after this but before your school and games stuff want to get your drivers and make sure windows is fully up to date.

Ok so after I install the mobo drivers I install the graphics driver. Then check for windows updates. After that I can start downloading discord and games etc or is there more to do?

After the graphic and windows updates you shoukd be good there maybe be the net framework files that need to be installed agian but i would recommend doind that the way the other guy told you not installing them through the links. Im sure that was a one time fluk but incase it wasn't i dont want you to have to go through all this again.... But from my understanding asus isn't liking the net framework programing. However for certain games "like cs'go they use net frame 2.0 and im not sure what for however ever i know they use it. 3.5 you can probably leave out

Ok cool i’ll let you know when I have the mobo and gpu driver installed. I’ll show you what I installed last time I set up my PC.
I clicked yes on this pop up^ should I select no this time?
Also, the last driver on the link you sent is "Utilities: Armoury Crate" should I download that since you told me to uninstall it last time?

No i suspect arourmy create had nothing to do with the lock up last time im certain it was one of the other asus tools if you use armoury tool then go ahead and install it if not then i would leave it off the system. Just extra space take thats not needed, the it's really hard to narrow down one specific app causing issues if your not there though so i cant say for certain

Ok cool I don't use it so i'll leave it. I went onto my C drive and everythings still there including a folder called "windows old" should I delete everything on there before downloading the drivers? I'll attach a screenshot of whats there and you can tell me what to delete because I think the old drivers I installed are still there?
Everything from windows old down or from the nvidia file down should be deleted right? @white.a.drew

Yes you can delete that windows old might tell you there things that cant be deleted ignotlre that and let it be

including the windows old folder yes? do I delete EVERYTHING on the c drive yes program files everything?
No dont delete everything on the c drive that will crash the system... If anything just leave it the way it is. For now and install what you need and it should go through and remove old history as it installs new... If it dosn't then we can go through and do that. It will be easier on you so not to currupt your system

Ok cool. It won't let me delete the old windows folder? I installed the mobo drivers and graphics card driver and chrome.
Do I need to do anything with the mobo driver folders? or do I just leave them on my C drive and not open them?

Nope just let them be once you run the software it auto codes to the system and does everything for you so if you installed it it there just let them be. Next step is to click the windows icon type update and make sure wundows is up to date.

Windows old is embeded in every windows 10 operating system it has some of the features mixed into it from windows 8 and 7 so thats what helps windows 10 act and run smoothly with some of the older windows features but also houses some of your old data i don't know if this was meant to be or a mistake by microsoft but it happens every now and then resetting the pc through windows.

For the graphics card do advanced setup or whatever it is in your setup pannel.... That way you can select factory install or fresh install or again whatever they label it in your install guide... But just click the advance setup fresh/factory install which will go through the whole system files searching for old drivers delete them and install new fresh drivers dont give it a new install path or anything just let it install where it wants and everything but make sure you do fresh install
