Hello guys,

In my PC I've got installed the following parts:
i7 6700(non-K)
ASUS Maximus VIII Gene
16gb (2x 8) Corsair Vengeance LPX (2666Mhz)
Gtx 1070 MSI Gaming X
Samsung 960evo M.2 nvme 250gb

My RAM was running at the default speed which is 2133Mhz. However, when I opened up the PC recently, I noticed the sticks said 2666Mhz. I went into the BIOS settings and enabled the XMP Profile which says 2666Mhz.

What's weird is that my games and Windows keep crashing: not on startup but after some time. For example, I'm playing a game (any game) and after 5 minutes it stops working and gives me a BSOD.

Does anyone know why this happens?

Just a little note: I just disabled the XMP setting and played a game of Fortnite. It still crashed, no blue screen, just a game crash.
Does this mean it's not the XMP profile that causes the crashing?
