Hi today I bought a ViewSonic XG2401 monitor as an upgrade to my LG 22MP56VQ monitor that is 2 or 3 years old. I game a lot so I wanted to find a 144hz Monitor and I wanted to find one on the cheaper end as I didn't have much to spend and the XG2401 seemed like the best option. When I turned on the monitor the colours were terrible and the screen was pretty blurry but I thought that was just because I hadn't configured the monitor yet.
After configuring the monitor with all the recommended settings it still looked very blurry especially on Google Chrome, the taskbar and the desktop. The colour were also quite bad compared to my old monitor with the recommended settings. The monitor is working in 144hz though and it is very nice when I've tested it in my games but it is definitely not worth having the strange colours and blurriness.
If this monitor just doesn't have a picture quality as good as my old monitor please tell me but I'm pretty sure something is wrong as this monitor was about $300 AUD and the other monitor was about $150. The old monitor was also 21.5" and this one is 24" so that may be the source of the blurriness but I doubt that this change would be enough to blur my image this much.
EDIT: In games the image looks quite good now but it is still bad when using Chrome and Other general functions other than gaming
