why does the computer reboot ?

Hello,

i have a computer with an Asus motherborard (barebone)
the os is Win2000 (just installed)
no floppy drive
no cdrom drive

when i connect an usb key (128Mo) and when i open a folder on this usk key,
the pc reboot

has anybody a solution ?

j'ai un pc sous win 2000 (carte Asus pour barebone), fraichement installé
pas le lecteur de disquette
pas de cd-rom

lorsque je branche une clé usb, elle est reconnue, je peux l'ouvrir
par contre dès que j'ouvre un dossier, instantanément, le pc reboot

c'est grave docteur ?

Have you installed w2k Service Pack 4? I'm not certain, but that
may help. If that doesn't help and the USB memory stick came with
it's own drivers, try uninstalling them and see if w2k's native drivers
work.

Yes i have installed the SP4
the usb key is automatically recognized as a removable disk drive
(it's a Packard bell 128 Mo with MP3 player)
