How come on Neopets there are no bugs, crashes, ups, downs, problems,
issues or failures?

It is always a "glitch".

Makes it seems like less than it is I suppose.

For the same reason, in my customer support/warranty resolution job, we are
discouraged from using the word "problem". Everything must be a
"situation", or somethgin like that - because "problem" has "negative
connotations".

It's a psychological semantics game that middle management and ad-writer
types like to play. People who think the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse
are scary just haven't met spin doctors yet.
