Why is my Battlefield 1 locked at 60FPS?

Hey there. I have an AMD FX 9370 and a GTX 1070 FOUNDERS EDITION. First of all why is battlefield 1 locked at 60FPS? I try to overclock my GPU but I can't. I use MSI Afterburner. I pumped up the core clock at 200 and the memory at 600 and the GPU utilization is on 65% all the time.
1. How can I fix that? How can turn up the GPU utilization to 100%?
2. Why is my game locked at 60FPS? Is there any way to change this?
Thanks.

Solution
BF1 is not locked at 60fps you probably have vsync on. You don't "turn up gpu utilization" lol the game uses the gpu's resources as required, if it only requires 65% of the gpu to achieve 60fps with vsync at the settings your playing at then that's all it will use. Turn up the in game settings and turn off vsync and you should see higher gpu utlization.

Solution
console ported to pc game ? may se if they got a command or patch to unlock it ?? then most times that ends up doing more harm then good on the picture quality

I see some posted on utube claiming fps fix ??

you got to remember most pc games are not true pc games they were desgined for console and then ''converted'' for pc use

like the guy said above maybe turn that off ??

http://www.bfcentral.net/battlefield-1-no-fps-cap-pc/

then they could of lied to hype sales and locked it anyway then you find this out ''AFTER'' you bought it ??

Battlefield 1 is quite an excellent port if you can even call it a port. Pretty much all battlefield games have been, the franchise started on pc. And the frame rate is not locked, that would be ridiculous in a battlefield pc version. Im not sure what this guys issue is, he probably has vsync on.

that what said here ?

''So far, performance has been good. Admittedly, I'm using a GTX 1070, and it's held steady at 80-ish frames-per-second at 2560x1440 – even as buildings ''

ea? execellent game ?? really ?? then its just a rental anyway through stream , origin or uplay you don't own nothing just rent from them not worth my money

real pc games came fully on the disk not a disk with a client then you got to go agree to there terms to download more content them the game ? they see you coming a mile away cause with out them [steam uplay or origin] you got nothing but a dvd with nothing

'' MANDATORY CONTENT UPDATES REQUIRED TO PLAY. ''

i'll pass.

good luck

good luck

I said it was a good port. Now you are going on a rant about DRM? Not what the OP asked, try to stay on topic.

Thats exactly what I said was happening in my first post. The game engine is not locked to 60fps, he probably has vsync on.

You do realize that pretty much all online games have updates, and that you cannot play until those updates are implemented right? For instance, patch 7.1, for WoW, releases Tuesday. I will not be able to play, until I have that patch installed.

oddly enough mine never goes over 60 fps and I know I have vsync off unless its somehow on in the control panel. I even bumped it to ultra 110 resolution and my gpus and cpu arent even maxed out. who knows. I just know this cpu is struggling a bit more now but it may be an issue with crossfire in this game or the profile at least for me.
