Question Why is my fps dropping when Dx12 is enabled?

So i have a msi gtx 1070 ti and i5-9600k. When i play BF 5 with 1440p and ultra with DX12 disabled i get around 100 fps. But when i enable DX12 my game drops to 85 fps. I thought it should have made my game run better, but no. So is there a fault in my gpu, cpu or something. Or is dx12 just worse for gaming.

neither gpu or cpu is overclocked...

The devs for BF 5 didn't implement DX12 well at all. Nothing wrong with your hardware. Use DX 11

It's also worth noting that Nvidia cards don't run DX12 very well in general.

Yeh, it should use DX11 instead. You will see a noticible improvement in FPS.
