i have xpg laptop with 1660ti and i7 9th gen , i recently got a RAM upgrade 8>16gb(+cleaning) . However i have noticed that my games are stuttering ALOT! and i am not talking about high end games. i tried playing A plague tale innocence and mount and banner lord 2 ( both of which have low system requirements ) but i am still getting 20-30 fps ( low settings ) and alot of stutter. idk why is this happening as i could run games like rdr 2 , gta v and TW3 kingdoms on high settings before without any issue . temps are normal gpu usage is 100% in task manager but still poor fps! Any help?

Can you elaborate on this?

i have xpg laptop
Would be helpful if you mentioned the model for your laptop. An SKU helps two fold. As for your laptop, check and see if you have any BIOS updates pending. Following that check to see if your OS is pending an update. Once done, use DDU to uninstall all GPU drivers(Intel, AMD and Nvidia) from your platform, then manually install with the latest GPU driver sourced from Nvidia's support site in an elevated command, i.e, Right click installer>Run as Administrator.

I had 8gb single stick ram installed , i was getting alot of lags while using multiple tabs on browser and overall. I got another 8gb stick. However i thought my previous stick was 2666Mhz so i got similar one installed , however later i realised that it was actually 2400T something, not 2666 , but i thought it wasn't be much of an issue .

One thing i have to share is that the guy who fixed Laptop was a amateur, is there a possibility that he messed up while installing ram and applying paste??.

Regarding mode it says gravity gaming laptop LLC Infront of system sku model atlas 157Q.
Also i have no idea how to update BIOS as i have never done it before. OS is updated, i will do DDU thing

update: i checked
Install the drivers door Intel graphics and the 1660ti mobile from your laptop's manufacturer instead of nvidia.com
update: i checked my cpu usage in-game and it was barely 10-20% while gpu was 100%...
i have updated my BIOS.
i tried to experiment a bit and removed the newly installed ram and installed original one in its place, issue was fixed no stutter whatsoever, then i reinstalled the new ram in the empty slot and still no stutter! the tech guy had flipped the rams in slots i.e installed new ram in old ram's place and installed old on in another slot. though i am not satisfied by fps i feel it still low considering laptop meets recommended specs of plague tale :innocence, low settings> 50-60fps ultra setting> 30 fps (no stutter)

HOWEVER i am now facing a new issue, my keyboard is not lighting up! I think this happened after BIOS update, DM shows driver is upto date , trouble shoot doesnt show any issues either, i usually press FN+F7 to turn it off/on but no luck, any idea?
