In my sig are my PC specs I'm just wondering what could be causing such slow performance i checked it in resource monitor is using 2percent of the speed and is only copying from same drive to same drive (extracting but i have a beast of a CPU nothing else going on.

I am beginning to wonder about my new motherboard seem to be finding bugs here an there an mounting but anyways don't wanna jump to conclusions but why is the Samsung 990 so slow is there possibly a setting i should check in bios i know there was with my z370 board from the 8700k intel days

After a while, any cache buffers get filled and performance reverts to the speed at which nand chips can be updated. If the drive is sufficiently full, and does not have empty nand blocks, this will result in a slower read/rewrite operation.
And, you are running only one task. Those glowing sequential benchmarks you see are done with big blocks and queue depths of 32.
