[SOLVED] Why is my minecraft not using Dedicated GPU?

Specs: Intel Pentium g3220 3.0 ghz
Radeon r7 250x 1gb ddr5
4gb 1600 MHz ddr3 ram

When I press F3 I see that my displays shows Intel hd graphics not Radeon r7xxx?

Do you have the proper drivers? You could try disabling intel HD Graphics in Device Manager too.

I will try to re update my amd drivers again but if I disable my Intel drivers won't that screw up my screen or display?

I currently have Intel HD Graphics disabled too. Since you have a dedicated graphics card you don't need the integrated at all. If your GPU is working properly, that would force the PC to switch to it. In worst case scenario you can just re-enable Intel's and everything should get back to as it was before (you might have to do this in Safe mode though).

Another idea is if you're using a laptop, the problem might be caused by some battery saving settings. Try choosing the "Performance" option or something similar whenever possible.

You can try following this guide too, while replacing AI.exe with Minecraft's exe file.

I got it fixed all I needed to do was go to my amd catalyst program and add minecraft to the programs list on my amd catalyst program, thanks for the help though.
