My ASUS CM-1740 w/ A8-Llano APU. Is acting very slow on the internet. Its taking an unusual amount of time to even begin to start loading a page and when it starts loading it takes longer to do that as well. The wifi on my cell phone is faster then this.

Once I get a website loaded, that website is fairly fast when browsing its contents. Its the initial loading that is taking forever. Its taking roughly 17 seconds to load newegg. Even a "new tab" in chrome browser is taking roughly 17 seconds, when before it took what seemed like 2-3 seconds.

Although the speed of your computer will affect your surfing, it could also be a network problem. Does your internet speed decrease between a certain time of day? What kind of internet do you have? Are you using wifi or ethernet?

I would check your router and look at wireless connections: see if there is anything connected you don't recognize. In some cases, someone could be using your internet to download files or surf the web themselves (this will affect how you use the internet). Other times it could be due to a traffic bottleneck down the line, caused by multiple people in your neighbourhood using the internet at the same time. Slow surf speeds could be caused by a number of reasons, but we can't trouble shoot until we get more info from you.

Its TWCs highest speed. Ethernet wired. Internet speed has always been good, every now and then it would slow up for a day or so then be back to normal, then I had to keep unplugging and plugging back in my old Belkin G router. I recently got a refurbished N router from Linksys I think it was. it seems to work better since the router, wifi is stronger on those devices that use it. Wifi is wep/wpa2 or w/e they are secured.
