Hey all,
I have Optimum Ultra 50 wifi, and i've been having a lot of problems with it. I usually am playing League of Legends or Battlefield 4 on my computer, and the ping fluctuates a ton. If im playing LoL and there isn't anyone else in the house, my ping hangs in at around 82. This is totally fine and perfectly playable as im on the East Coast, this ping is expected. If one other device on my wifi tried to watch a youtube video or netflix or something, my ping will spike in between 500-4000 ping and stay there. Often hanging around the 900 mark. It's totally unplayable and im not sure why its happening. I have the smart router that optimum gave us, but right now im using a Linksys e3200 router. I forwarded the LoL ports and even put QoS priority on my computer. I need help!! how can i keep my ping low while others are on the wifi? I figured that with the 50/50 mb/s speeds that are promised, I would be able to play games while others are streaming things. Wired connection is not an option. Any way to fix this wirelessly?
Thanks!
Matt
