Why my computer can't start after overclock?

If i overclock my cpu, the pc try restart for 3 times, and after that the bios reset the CPU settings. I try to add just +100mhz, or +10mhz but the same issue.

Xeon E5450
MSI G41-P33 Combo
2GB DDR2 800MHZ ram.

It looks like the Xeon is NOT officially supported on your motherboard. It may work at stock speeds but probably doesn't know how to handle the CPU in an overclocked environment.

What version of Windows are you using? 2 GB of DDR 2 RAM is a big part of your issue in 2018.

So you modded the BIOS AND modded the motherboard pins and wonder why it won't work properly?

Just get a Core 2 Quad (they're super cheap) and go back to stock BIOS, then overclock it.

Yes. That's a motherboard mod that's changing the pin contacts. It's a "neat" project to do but if this is your main PC I think you're asking for potential trouble trying to overclock. Nobody knows what problems and / or actual hardware damage you may cause.
